Road World Champs and Spanish Cycling Federation agreement
Catlike has had a great week at the 2009 UCI Road World Championships in Mendrisio, Switzerland. Olympic Champion Kristin Armstrong (USA) won the Women's Individual Time Trial. It was her second time trial World Championship gold medal; Armstrong won her first gold medal in 2006 in Salzburg, Austria. "Today was an amazing day. The stars were aligned and of course I had a little bit of luck on my side. I could not have become World Champion today without riding the fastest equipment possible. The Cervélo P4 was my machine today. I was equipped with Zipp wheels, Vittoria tires, Shimano di2, fi'zi:k saddle, Rotor Rings, and a Catlike helmet - amazing equipment. Thank you to all of my sponsors - THANK YOU!" On the men side, Ignatas Konovalovas placed 9th in another great performance. On the road race, Samuel Sánchez was the best Catlike sponsored rider, placing 4th. But we also got another rider in the top ten: Simon Gerrans. On the women race, it was Kristin Armstrong who was the best Catlike sponsored rider, finishing fourth. Apart from the World Championships, but still linked to the competition scene, Catlike has just closed a deal with the Spanish Cycling Federation to be the official helmet supplier for the 4 coming years, what includes the next Olympic Games. "We are happy to keep on the great relationship we have with the Spanish Federation. Catlike means racing and we are always faithful to that philosophy", explains Pepe del Ramo, Catlike CEO.
