The Xacobeo Galicia team has started the racing season in Mallorca. And just as we announced a few weeks ago, the team from Galicia and Catlike will maintain their collaboration. We will supply the team with our helmets, both for road racing and time trialling. For this 2010, Xacobeo Galicia will use our Vacuum model, a helmet that faces its second season in the professional peloton (in 2009 it was the chosen model of the Contentpolis-AMPO team) after a very positive launch by the different markets where Catlike is present at all around the world.
Vacuum is one of our latest products and it benefits from the technology completely developed by R+D Catlike team called Air Tube System. This revolutionay system is based on an inner hollow net that reinforces the whole structure, apart from delivering extra level of safety and lightness. This system takes the best of it in impact situations, absorbing part of the crash energy.
Its compact volume has been designed to deliver a high level of ventilation, a must thinking of the demanding competitions the Xacobeo Galicia will take part in 2010. Thus, Catlike has worked in two clearly different parts: big central holes and generous lateral air channels. They all head to big rear and upper air exits that help renew the air that is located between the helmet and the head. This helps to cool the head of the rider.
For time trials, the team will keep on using our super tested Chrono Aero Plus.
